EAA Chapter #50 is incorporated in the state of Ohio and is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as a non-profit organization. Through the years, members of Chapter #50 have flown over 1200 young people under EAA's Young Eagles program.
The chapter gives annual scholarships to area high school students who plan on attending college in preparation for a career in aviation and sponsors a teen to EAA's Air Academy.
We hold a Boy Scouts of America three-day program twice yearly so the Scouts may earn their Aviation Merit badge.
In addition, Chapter #50 sponsors monthly education and/or fly-in/drive-in events at local airports.
